Villa Marsileni

CONTEXT & SITUATION

Location: Liguria (Italy)

Property Type: Single house with garden

Dimensions: approx 40 sqm, possibility to extend to 80+ sqm

Situation: Located in the historic centre of a small seaside village. This derelict house from the early 1920s requires substantial interventions, including significant structural reinforcement.

Project Year: 2022 - ongoing

PROJECT SCOPE & MANDATE

The project involved the renovation and extension of a derelict structure daPng back to the 1920s.

Due to regulatory constraints, the extension could only be carried out on one level (ground floor) and within a footprint not exceeding twice the existing gross floor area (including walls).

Located in a seaside area, the property was intended as a holiday home but needed to offer the full comfort of a primary residence, as the client planned to spend several months a year there.

The brief required two bedrooms with the possibility of accommodating up to six guests, making the addition of a second bathroom essential. The scope of work included space planning, selection of finishes, and sourcing of materials and furnishings.
